Modular Character Generation System
Welcome, and thanks for playing this LARP! In just a few minutes, you'll be on your way to creating a character using our state-of-the-art modular character generation system. First, though, a few things you should know:
- You're a crew member on board the Jolly Rancher, a pirate ship.
- The Jolly Rancher is currently docked in a cove.
- You are here to seek the fabulous treasure known as the Blood Jewel.
- The captain of the Jolly Rancher is "Red" Ned Morris.
- Today is the captain's birthday.
- In honor of his birthday, the captain has handed over the reins to his first mate, Nathaniel Teach.
Now that the basics are out of the way, here's how to proceed:

Character Creation
Take one card each from Decks 2, 1, and 3, in that order, and read them. (Yeah, it was going to be 1, 2, and 3, but I messed up writing the numbers on the backs of the cards.) Some of the cards you draw might say to draw from other decks as well - if they do, then draw from those decks.
Now your character needs a name. Take one of the blank name badges and write a character name on it, and place it on your chest.
OK, now you will need some statistics. Start by taking a card from Deck 0. This will be your stats card. Now, you have 2 choices: you can either choose stats, or roll them.
Choosing Stats
You have a total of 12 points to use in 4 abilities: Carousin', Plunderin', Swashbucklin', and Wenchin'. In each ability, you can take a score between 1 and 5. You may use fewer than 12 points total if you like, but you may not use more than 12.
Rolling Stats
For each of the four abilities (Carousin', Plunderin', Swashbucklin', and Wenchin'), roll a 4-sided die. The result is your score for that ability.
