Character Sheet

You grew up in a very well to do family. You never really wanted anything. You always had the best toys and games and you always went to the best schools. It was nice to be able to invite people over to your house and they would always say yes, because you had an awesome house.

You did fairly well in school, you weren't fantastic, you got passing grades. You had tutors with most of your classes, and your father helped a lot with your math class, which was some of the only time that you spent with your father.

Your family could have afforded many, if not all, of the good school in the area. But you wanted to go to a big school, something with lots of people and a good business department. You wanted to get away from the family and get lost in a place where no one would know that your family is rich.

So you went to UMass. You're happy you went there. You became fast friends with your freshman year roommate, Solomon Gold. He was a good guy who came from a significantly different background from yours. His family was quite poor in comparison with yours. You

But he and you got along quite well. You two were both business majors and friends and you stayed friends throughout your time there.

When you graduated, you had some trouble finding a job. Solomon, however, found a job quite quickly with an advertising firm in Boston. He remembered you and recommended you for a position there with him.

You were grateful for that, and you two stayed close while you worked together. While you were there, you two had the idea of starting your own company. You had a couple of ideas which you threw around with Solomon, but you eventually settled on a publishing company. It sounded interesting, and you liked the idea.

A couple years later, Grasier Publishing was a small startup publishing company with only a few books, though they were popular. Things were going well.

That's when Solomon had the idea to expand the company. You didn't particularly like the idea, but it wasn't that risky, so you agreed. Grasier Publishing became Grasier Media, and started representing some musicians. The two of you made a significant amount of money and you were happy. But Solomon wanted to expand more. He had started to plan expansions such as a recording label.

You didn't like the idea. You felt like the expansions that Solomon was planning were too risky and that he was taking too many risks with your joint company.

It was about then that you found out that he had been skimming money off the top of Grasier's profits. You were really surprised about this and you really didn't like this idea. You confronted Solomon about this, told him you wanted an end to this.

So he gave you an end. He had apparently made some connections you weren't aware of over the past few years and he used those connections to ruin your life. You lost your money, your house, your connections, everything that made you you.

You woke up on the streets the next day. It took you quite a while to figure out who you were and what was going on. By the time you cleared everything up, you had been living on the streets for a week or so. For the next few years you tried to find a way to get your life back, but to no avail.

So you tried to get used to life on the street. You spent most of your time on the street in front of an apartment building outside the city. It was a nice place, and you got used to the people who lived there.

For example, there was the slutty girl, and her now boyfriend. You miss her old boyfriend, though. Darren, you think his name was. He was a nice guy who gave you food every once in a while. There was Fred (you're not sure what her real name is), who you were pretty sure was a drug dealer, among other things. There was Clarissa, who stopped and talked to you every once in a while. She was nice, but she's been acting a bit off lately. There was also Laura, the shy girl, and Mark, the geek. It was an interesting lot and you liked watching them come and go.

... and there was Patrick. He was a tough guy cop who often came around and gave you a hard time. He would offer to arrest you at least once a week. He was an ass and you wish he would get his deserts for being so un-police-like.

You scrounged together a couple dollars to get on the T to go to this nice shelter that has been helping you out. You don't like the T. Everybody looks at you strangely.

Last Thoughts before Gamestart

It's nice to be able to ride on the train. You get a nice comfortable seat and it's nice and warm and even if people do look at you weird, it's alright, you'll get off in a few minutes for your nice warm soup.

Also, pretty much everyone who lives in the apartment building you hang around is here. That snot Jessica, her boyfriend Scott, that nice girl Clarissa, her roommate Fred (who you're pretty sure is selling drugs), and that nervous girl, Terry.

... and Solomon's here.

... interesting.

Who You Know on the Train

01. That stuck-up, snotty girl that lives in the apartment building. One of those self-absorbed shopaholic types.

02. The snotty girl's boyfriend. He seems like an okay guy, though you don't know what he sees in that girl.

03. A nerdy, awkward looking young man. He reminds you of the kind of guy that never seems to figure out how to be normal around people.

04. A private detective-type who clearly watches way too many film noir movies.

05. She looks like one of those TV psychics. The people who claim to talk to the dead. What a load of crap.

06. This guy has some kind of hippy, artsy vibe about him. Seems mild enough.

07. Some girl dressed up for her first job out of school, probably. Not really interesting to you.

08. Christopher Wright - Another kid from the apartment building. Unlike the rest of them, he actually treats you like a human being. Seems like he's going through some tough stuff lately.

09. Christopher's shady roommate. You're pretty certain he's involved in something illegal.

10. You know a bigshot pretending to try to look inconspicuous when you see one. This kid clearly thinks he's pretty damn important, even if he is acting like he doesn't want to be noticed.

11. Patrick Doyle - He's the tough cop who likes to come over and give you a hard time whenever he passes you on the street.

12. Another dressed-up kid going to work. Looks like the nerdy, fragile type.

13. Solomon Gold - It's Solomon. Jesus Christ. He probably doesn't even recognize you.

15. The train conductor who also lives in the apartment building. She looks like she could use a vacation. She'd also like you to get the hell out of her train, so what do you care.
