Duha Baha
Duha Baha (Fake Name: Malek Abdullah)
You've lived a sheltered life. You know that. You didn't realize until very recently just how sheltered your life has been. Now you're in over your head.
You're the oldest child of Fadil Baha, who was, until recently, the undisputed ruler of Valdez. Your family has run Valdez for a long, long time. Since your ancestors ruled some place on Earth where apparently all the fuel on the planet was at. Or something. You never really paid attention to your lessons on ancient history. They were pretty boring. The only time you spent a lot of time reading about history was when you were hospitalized for two weeks on some outer-world planet after being treated for some unusual disease.
You grew up knowing that you were supposed to take over some day and that you had to learn to be crafty, cunning and a bunch of other words than begin with the letter 'c'. The problem is that you could never really get that excited about the idea of running Valdez. You wanted to be a musician or an artist or something more fun. You would have happily let your younger brother, Fathi, take over running things, but that isn't the way the family tradition works. First surviving child takes over. No exceptions.
Fathi, apparently, thought he should be the one to run things, too. When your father died six months ago under questionable circumstances, you barely escaped with your life. Fathi had all your father's ruthlessness and had hired assassins to kill you, so that he could legally take over running Valdez. You were very lucky to be tipped off by an old friend of the family who gave you a fake passport under the name Malek Abdullah and told you to make a run for it. You escaped in a private spaceship and fled. You've heard that you were declared to have been killed in a terrible accident, but you're pretty sure Fathi still has people out looking for you. If you show up anywhere and prove your identity, you still technically own a huge amount of the shares of Valdez and could try and take charge.
While you had a lot of money on hand, it went quickly, particularly because you weren't really all that familiar with the way things worked in the real world. Eventually, you wound up on another ship a few months ago. You were just aboard to reach another planet where you thought you would be able to get in contact with the Utopian Society. They are supposed to be working to fix the galaxy and make things better. You'd sure like their help. After the experiences you've been through, you know the galaxy needs fixing.
You didn't find the Utopian Society, but you did find Jip Barton. Jip is amazing with computers and technology and, well... everything. You could listen to Jip for hours. You did listened to Jip for hours. For some reason, no one else understands how amazing Jip is. You don't understand everything that Jip says anymore than anyone else does, but you know that it is amazing anyway.
You let Jip get away because you were afraid to reveal your past. Jip left on a ship and you instantly regretted it. Last month, you managed to find out that Jip was going to be on the Petunia. You managed to get on board, using the last of your saved money to do so. You're ready to tell Jip everything and hope that Jip will accept your undying love. How you'll survive from there or deal with the assassins likely following you are things you haven't dealt with yet. If you don't have Jip, it doesn't matter if you live or die anyway.

Who You Know
Wahad Th'nein, First Officer
You remember meeting Wahad Th'nein a few years ago. You doubt she would remember you. The Th'nein family is a very old and honorable one in Valdez, though you remember hearing that their fortunes have fallen somewhat in recent years. You would be willing to bet your life that Th'nein would help protect you as the legitimate heir to Valdez if push came to shove. The honor of her family name would require it. Perhaps she could even be of some assistance in giving you ideas and direction on where to go from here. You'd need to make sure that you could talk to her alone though.
Dominique Buckley, Passenger
Wow! Dominique Buckley is on board the Petunia. Aside from the fact that you'd love to meet a media celebrity of that caliber, you heard from a reputable source that Dominique Buckley is in some way associated with the Utopian Society. Dominique may be able to at least put you in touch with someone. That would be really, really helpful, for obvious reasons.
Jip Barton, Passenger
Oh Jip... if you can't have Jip nothing else really matters. Jip is going to renegotiate a contract with top executives in Banana. Maybe with Jip's help you can find a way to turn things around and come out of all of this alive.
Goals
- Reconnect with Jip, confess your love and your history.
- Find some way to stay alive.
- Make contact with the Utopian Society.
