Peyton Nottingham, Security Personnel

You are a security guard on board the Petunia. You've had this swank job for more than a year now. While the pay is so-so (at best), there have yet to be any threats to the ship or any of its passengers and this ship sure is loaded with sweet stuff when you're off duty. Plus, there are opportunities in being a security guard here...

At first, you took everything very seriously and played everything by the book. There are always very important people on board the ship. Fairly early on though, you found out that annoying a wealthy passenger by insisting that proper procedures are followed is a sure way to lose one's job. You didn't want that to happen to you, so you learned to be flexible with the rules. Sure, it means there is an off chance that something will go wrong, but you've decided it is well worth the risk.

You've found that the best thing to do on long trips is to pull fast ones on the passengers. Most of the passengers you've seen will believe anything you tell them about your history or the history of the ship. It doesn't matter how tall the tale is, whether it is about fending off space pirates or that the Petunia was named after the General's granddaughter, they often don't know any better. You've got a running bet with a few other security officers on who can pull off the biggest story this trip. You intent to cash in on that bet.

Once of the other things you do is collect dirt on people. Because the people on board are so important, there are always people willing to pay to learn about an indiscretion here or a blunder there. You've got a good connection who pays you well for keeping them informed about things of that nature. It has certainly helped to add something to your otherwise fairly meager paycheck.

Your contact also asked you to keep an eye out for anyone traveling under a false name. Apparently, Duha Baha, the heir of Valdez is on the run and some very important people want Duha found. The word is out that Duha is worth a great deal, dead or alive.

As a security officer it wasn't very hard for you to smuggle aboard some artwork for your contact. It was a little extra money and who really cares about a little artwork getting by customs?

Who You Know

Dorcas Peterson, Navigation Officer
The General's secret lover, Petunia. Dorcas is getting married to Don Don, and General Butler would pay well to anyone who found out something that would stop this.

Elian Bumblemuss, Passenger
No one spends their life savings to fly on the flagship just "to see the stars." You don't know what Elian is doing, but it certainly involves asking a lot of questions and taking a lot of pictures. Elian might well be Home Galaxy security. If so, you want to keep this person occupied and out of trouble.

Jesus Rodriguez, Ship's Bartender
Jesus is an illegal alien. You know this because you got him his forged papers when he first showed up. Of course, he desperately doesn't want Home Galaxy Security to find out, so you can get a lot of valuable information from him. Everyone talks to Jesus, and he tells you whatever you ask. If you need information, he's a safe place to get it.

Malek Abdullah, Passenger
Malek came aboard with some of the best forged papers you have seen. Whatever Malek is hiding, it's certainly valuable.
