You are a major warlord of the Capallas. You hate and despise the terrible Mantags. Your races have been at war for generations. They killed your aunt and destroyed her property in a bombing. Bombing the nobility is not acceptable.

However, several years ago, you met Emilia. She was leading her fleet against yours, and you fought with words and phasers. Many foul Mantag ships were destroyed by your valiant fleet. She fought well, however, and you were impressed.

Since then, you have met Emilia many times on the field of battle. You have come to treasure her as a dear enemy. You would almost hate to see her die and lose the rivalry. In fact, slowly, over the years, you have fallen in love with her, and you believe the feeling is mutual. Since it can never be, it has merely strengthened the rivalry. Each exchange of insults or phaser fire stirs your heart.

Finally, you have an excuse to meet in person. You need to go retrieve your lost heir from Emilia's evil trap. It's a perfect opportunity to snipe at Emilia and, perhaps, get a closer look at her. Sigh. If only things were different, you could be so happy together. If a real opportunity presented itself, you would be hard-pressed to turn it down.
