Obsidian rod
The obsidian rod is an atmosphere measuring device. To activate it, tap the end against something hard. It lights up red if the atmosphere is not breathable to the aliens, or green if it is.
Metal umbrella
The metal umbrella is a satellite dish for receiving transmissions. To activate it, open it. Since the aliens are long gone, it will never be able to get a link.
Glass pipe
The glass pipe was a piece of plumbing in the alien spacecraft. It is really just a pipe.
Metal tank
The metal tank contains alien rocket fuel. There is no way to get the fuel out of the tank if you do not have a fuel teleportation device, which does not exist in game.
Metal half-dome
The metal half-dome is a weapon. If activated, it makes every human on earth commit suicide or kill each other. Either way, it transmits a signal to the aliens that the world is now safe for settlement. Only Karyn (after the full transformation process) is capable of activating it, and (we hope) by that point, she will have more serious things on her mind, such as dying of asphyxiation.
Plastic Wristband
Heals light wounds.
Medical Tricorder
If the medical tricorder (which is not alien technology) is used to analyze any alien technology, it detects radiation.
